I'm very excited about this year's CLE training. Rod Saalfeld, past PNW District Governor
is our lead trainer. He will be assisted by Dave Evans. I've talked with Rod extensively
about his ideas for the training.
He is going to do a couple of new things this year.
First, he would like the incoming Lt. Governors to have a little break-out session for
about 15 minutes to talk to their divisions about the coming year. The incoming LG's will
just be a week off their training at Mount Hood and should have all sorts of wonderful
ideas to put in place. Rod would like them to address:
1. When will Division Council Meetings be.
2. Will you be having a Division Project?
3. Will you be building a new club or focusing on the ones currently in your division?
4. What are your Division Goals?
Second, Rod would like to tailor the training to what the incoming Presidents actually
want to cover. LG's, if you would talk to your incoming Presidents in the next couple of
weeks and have them email me by May 21 what they would like to see covered, I can
compile it and forward it to Rod. Do they want to focus on retention, recruiting,
leadership, running a meeting, etc.
So, if you could forward this email to your successors and to the incoming Presidents, it
would be appreciated. I look forward to hearing from the incoming Presidents.
